Douglas Murray Pipe Reed

Highland Bagpipe reeds manufactured by Douglas Murray in Fife, Scotland and are tailored to suit any chanter.

Douglas Murray is a double Gold Medalist at the Argyleshire Gathering Northern Meetings and won both playing his own Murray Pipe Reeds.  He was also the former Pipe Major of the Grade 1 Police Scotland Pipe Band.

The reeds are manufactured to three strengths Easy/Medium/Strong. This is achieved by hand finishing. All cane is selected by hand before manufacture to ensure a more consistent reed. Imported from Europe, they always have a good ready supply of the best cane.

*Warning* The Strong reeds are very challenging and are only suitable for a very experienced and regular player. It is packed with volume and tone and not for the faint hearted!
